Page Views by Month.
You have probably heard reports discussing the number of hits
their website has received. Unfortunately, hits tell you Nothing
about how many people are visiting your site and how many pages
they view when there. Why is that? Because a single page
can cause anywhere from 1-100 hits depending on how many graphics
are on the page. A better way to measure traffic is by looking
at your unique visitors and page views. If you divide your monthly
page views into your unique visitors stats, you'll have a feel
for how many pages your average visitors is viewing. Now you have
a few trends to follow.
The graph below is from a B-2-B corporation we have worked with
since the spring of 2000. As you can see, they did not track their
site stats before working with us. (If you didn't measure it,
it didn't happen.) The page views per month has increased, and
so has the quality of the visitors into the site. By looking at
the keyword stats for the site along with the increase in customer
inquiries it's very clear that they are getting their money's
worth.
Their site has generated over $5 million in new accounts and
over $10 million in new leads over the past year.
